Celtic Salt Coarse
A coarse, non-iodated Celtic sea salt with naturally occurring trace minerals. Its larger crystals work well as a finishing salt, for cooking and fermentation, or anywhere customers prefer the texture and flavour of an unrefined-style sea salt.
Benefits
- Per 100 g provides approximately 470 mg magnesium and 210 mg calcium alongside sodium — minerals involved in normal muscle and nerve function
- Retains naturally occurring trace minerals that are removed during the refining of standard table salt
- Non-iodated, which may suit those managing their iodine intake under a practitioner's guidance
- Coarse crystals work well as a finishing salt and in fermentation, where texture affects the process
- Hand-harvested and sun/wind-dried on the Guérande Peninsula, unrefined and unwashed
- No added preservatives, fillers or flavourants
Ingredients
Celtic sea salt, hand-harvested on the salt marshes of the Guérande Peninsula, France, dried naturally by sun and wind, unrefined and unwashed. Per 100 g: sodium approximately 37,600 mg, calcium approximately 210 mg, magnesium approximately 470 mg (per 1.5 g serving: sodium approximately 564 mg, calcium approximately 3 mg, magnesium approximately 7 mg). No added preservatives, additives, fillers or flavourants. Produced in a facility that also handles egg, fish and dairy.
Directions
Can be added to hot or cold drinks and food, or used in baking.
Cautions
Salt is high in sodium. Follow medical advice with hypertension, kidney disease, heart failure or a prescribed sodium restriction. Because it is non-iodated, do not rely on it as a dietary iodine source.
